Goliath
03:45
|
|

Deer in the streets
Kings of quiet land.
Where coughs are bombs
And poison’s on each hand!
Moats full, full and deep
the drawbridge raised.
How long can the castles keep
all the shadow clouds away?
This time, This reckoning,
Spreads its silence,
This crop we now reap
is a quiet violence!

Ghost Town
03:52
|
|
||
This used to be where kids played
This used to be where days felt safe
This used to be where lights stayed on
We’d stay up all night to embrace the dawn
Now it’s home to ghosts roaming around
Host to shadows drowned on the ground
In the eerie silence you can hear
Storm clouds that boomed last year
This used to be where we ate
This used to be where we went on a date
This used to be where teachers taught
This used to be where we tried not to get caught
What good’s a memory if it’s cloaked in pain
When all the people go no telling what remains
This used to be home Now it’s a Ghost Town
This used to be home Now no one’s around

The Machine
04:38
|
|
||
A king in a castle Perched on a bluff
Thought life was a hassle. “Enough is enough!”
paid all his people To make him a machine
That cleaned out his dreams and kept his night clean.
The machine decreed and ended crime.
told him clever jokes and told him when to smile.
It caught him a fair queen Using witty lines for bait
It let him live a dream for years. But one day
The king called a meeting and met with his priest
spoke to the people and said, “Keep the peace.”
But the first baby died by the time the king spoke
The cow with black milk Had poisoned their hopes
The machine broke It leaked its smoke
Like an autumn breeze Trees lost their leaves
The rivers slowed and life felt loaned
Return to the days When the machine hummed
When the king was kind Like the world had just begun.
The pitchforks were rusty When they met the king’s skin.
The people tried to reclaim All that their lives had been
Bankrupt nearsighted men can’t set the bar for us!

We Are The Virus
04:04
|
|
||
We went from a few to a billion,
we’re what we’ve always been.
We want to grow forever,
we live how we’ve always lived
We are the virus!
Dried blood under our fingernails,
we point and scream and chug our beer
on a mountain of gold and coal,
we chant “save the world with us!”
We are the virus!
Like grass we grow toward the sun,
but the plains don’t wait for rain
Like a virus that kills its host,
we’ll burn out and turn to ghosts.
We are the virus!

Maybe That's Why
04:55
|
|
||
From the darkness came the dust
Maybe that’s why I feel so strange sometimes
Like the wind can blow me away sometimes.
From that dust came the seas
Maybe that’s why I feel so weird sometimes.
Like I’m swimming backwards sometimes.
Maybe that’s why you make me feel so alive.
From the seas came the birds and bees.
Maybe that’s why I wanna fly away sometimes.
Maybe that’s why I catch a buzz sometimes.
Maybe that’s why you make me feel so alive.
Maybe that’s why I see me in you sometimes.
Maybe that’s why We’re fixed on the same vine.
Maybe that’s why you make me feel so alive.

Pandemonium
03:34
|
|
||
I can run, I can run, but you need to walk
I can run, I can run, but you need to crawl!
My dreams in the air, my worth on my sleeves
Shut your mouth, shut your mouth and go to hell!
Shut your mouth, shut your mouth so I can yell!
Pandemonium possibilities.
Stuck in time, never changing, stuck in time
said our founding fathers, stuck in time
My dreams in the air, my worth on my sleeves
So let me be free in my fog but chain the breeze!
So let me be free in my fog it’s a fragile peace!
Pandemonium possibilities.
Everyone is free to freak the fuck out!
Everything is fake unless I feel it NOW!

Everything I Need
04:14
|
|
||
I got so much on my mind
Laying in this grass
Feeling like I got a boulder
A boulder for a brain
Looking up at the clouds meandering past
Only seeing rain Only seeing rain
Only seeing rain Only seeing rain
Well I don’t make enough
and I owe too much.
How did I end up here?
How did I end up here?
Looking up at the sound meandering past.
I got a 9-to-5 That’s kinda feeling like
A 24/7 A 24/7 kind of deal.
But I got the mist on the river
I got the moss hanging off the trees.
The sunsets on fire
I got everything I need.

When the cold wind blows, the mirrors sheen explodes,
Cracks laid bare see how these fuckers “care”?
Thinking its darkest before the dawn assumes the sun will come along.
When is “hope” another word for the dreams of the dumb?
Like an echo, the chime of past crimes
Hear it bellow! Hear it bellow!
When everything shines too long it blinds.
Houses of cards start feeling fine.
Everything looked great from a mile high but how our eyes deceive!
Down here the taste is sour of the poison pills they leave behind.
I’ve got a dream achieved! Manifested destiny!
Like an echo, the chime of past crimes
Hear it bellow! Hear it bellow!
When everything shines too long it blinds.
Houses of cards start feeling fine.
Now I hope that you can see I’m living exceptionally!
Sometimes it's easy to seize too easy as you’ll see,
So, we’ll take as we please infinitely!
Like an echo, the chime of past crimes
Hear it bellow! Hear it bellow!
When everything shines too long it blinds.
Houses of cards start feeling fine.
